More About BankSearchPlus™

BankSearchPlus offers the most comprehensive electronic directory of official international payment data in one single source. CB.Net uses official sources, as well as direct bank input, to obtain payment data, which is validated regularly by CB.Net to ensure optimum accuracy. To optimise payment flows data is linked together to provide all payment information from SSIs to Payment Channels, Routing BICs and National Clearing codes.

BankSearchPlus has more than 130 national payment and identification code sets from over 100 countries. The official issuing authority is the direct source for these data sets, to ensure that the database contains only the most complete, accurate and timely data. CB.Net continues to proactively increase the database to provide clients with a knowledge base that not only delivers codes but also the format, exceptions and anomalies to ensure optimal use of the data.

BankSearchPlus continuously validates and updates more than 200,000 categorised Standard Settlement Instructions (SSIs) linked to 8,500 Bank Identification Codes (BICs), which are categorised by payment type and asset class, with preferred clearer status when applicable.CB.Net continues to extend the number of banks who contribute to the database with clear targeting to cover geographical regions where banks traditionally have difficulties sourcing SSI data.

Additionally BankSearchPlus provides institution participation and status in Payment Channels to provide data for 'optimum payment routing' to banks.

BankSearchPlus includes the IBAN2BIC module, which validates and links IBANs to identifying BICs. To meet the challenge of SEPA IBAN2BIC has been extended to include payment Routing BICs, and covers SWIFT connected institutions and non SWIFT connected institutions.

Complementary to these features is the facility for clients to use CB.Net's dedicated Helpdesk team. The Helpdesk is a free service, with a guaranteed response to queries within 24 hours of receipt. Clients use the core skills of the team for their everyday data sourcing functions.

BankSearchPlus data is available through the Payment Reference Data Service (PRDS) and can be tailored to meet organisations' specific needs. A range of solutions are available, including:

  • BSPFile - an mdb file offering rapid integration and updated every two weeks
  • BankSearchPlus Datafeed - a fully integrated solution delivering XML files of payment data on a daily basis.
